This workshop will focus on creating your own stylish bottle carrier using a couple simple knots and cotton yarn. You will receive step-by-step guidance and tips on how to customize. No prior experience is necessary. —all materials are provided: macrame yarn, wood rings and beads. Just bring yourself and a desire to create! About your Instructor: Shannon Marie is a full-time, professional mixed media artist.  Paper scraps, old hardware, wood and discards of all kinds she transforms into whimsical characters, prints, cards, coaster, apparel and more!  She sees beauty in the brokenness and loves sharing her passion for making things with others. Shannon Marie’s workshops and art camps provide both kids and adults an opportunity to explore, experiment and create. Her love of creating is endless - her next project, class or camp is always her new favorite! Throughout her career, Shannon Marie has focused on art as director of Art Education at a performing arts school, elementary art teacher, theater designer and as a public artist creating murals and sculptures for businesses, brands and cities.  She currently has a retail line of collages, art prints and sculptures that she sells through retail stores in Ohio. Shannon Marie was named a “Fearless Female Artist of 2018” in Oprah’s O magazine for her sculptural public art commissioned by Proctor and Gamble. She has created and designed a number of public art pieces for city centers.   Making art and teaching art was her dream as a child - Shannon noted that her five-year old self would be so proud!  Visit her website: https://www.shannonmakes.com/ Shannon Marie’s Teaching Philosophy:   I love sharing the process of creating!  I like to start by introducing materials, giving participants a “tour” of the supplies and a brief intro and then let them explore and discover. I have seen this  approach work well with students to help them create amazing assemblage and collage works.
