Teen Fall Copper Fused Glass, Sat. 9/16

Class Description

Join in this introductory fused glass class that uses copper sheets and design elements to create a fall scene on clear fusible glass. Cindy will guide you on creating two scenes on 5 inch square plates by using die cut shapes which they will cut with a Siizzix Big Shot Machine or you can cut out your own shapes to create a fall scene for your design. Cindy will fire the plates in the kiln and let the the heat work its magic! Your art pieces will be ready for pick up in 1 week. All materials and supplies will be provided. Open to adults and teens 13+. Your instructor: Cindy has spent her career teaching others since attending Bowling Green State University and focusing on education. Whether it’s pre-K through middle school or her art students, she is always sharing her knowledge and experience with others. Cindy loves working with fused glass and finds it therapeutic to experiment with different facets of the medium. Creating functional pieces that can be used, instead of being hung up or sitting on a shelf, bring her great happiness. She has been a fused glass instructor for the past seven years at Glass Axis in Columbus. Cindy has displayed her work at Glass Axis and has an artisan plate in the State House Museum Shop.  Cindy received an artist grant from the Greater Columbus Arts Council in 2023. This grant was used to purchase tools necessary to equip a home studio to produce her own work and have the tools necessary to teach fused glass classes. Cindy’s teaching philosophy: I like to provide a brief description and instructions on tools to begin. While we are working, students are encouraged to ask questions and request assistance with anything they need throughout the class. Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your class up to 5 days prior to the class date to receive a refund, less the 5% service fee. If you cancel less than 5 days prior to the class date, you will not receive a refund. You may pass along your booking to a friend or family member by emailing info@artdock.org and include the replacement’s name and email.
